I was looking on the wiki article for actionscript and I noticed that a lot of people might think that you can't use actionscript on a Linux distribution I found this IDE called FDThttp://fdt.powerflasher.com/
and I'm going to try using it along with flashpunk to make my first game. I don't have an account to the wiki and I didn't want to edit the article, I also noticed you could put FDT in list of IDEs.
I hope that helps I would like to help out the community and edit articles and things sometimes and I thought this would be a good start. I also think there should maybe be more guides on using Linux distributions for game development I know most people are using C# / Unity or other engines like that but I would suggest giving Debian a try or Ubuntu along with python, and Linux distributions make a really a great OS for developers. With things switching over to Linux distributions for steam I'd really love to see more people try and pick a flavor of Linux. I want to find more content to add and help this community keep growing so there are more game developers who don't get discouraged.
