Do note that we are a team composed mainly of students, so any "job-offer" constitutes purely voluntary work. Voluntary notwithstanding, we are only looking for serious developers & entrepreneurs to join this startup. We will be spending a lot of time getting this project on its feet, and we acknowledge this time as precious ware and realize the risk we are taking by committing ourselves to a project of this proportion. That said, we clearly understand the risk taken by merely considering taking the step into something this new, and we appreciate any who dare do so. Thank you.
There are two key jobs present for which we need a highly capable web developer.
- OpenCDS web integrations
It is important for us to get started with the online features of OpenCDS as early as possible, especially our own online database for games. We want to see the needs of the local drive application and the web-based software affect and shape one another early on, to attain ideal balance. This job is most definitely of the highest priority.
- OpenCDS web site
Our workspace is currently based entirely on free common services such as google docs, mail and chat. We have a dedicated server ready for use with the opencdspowered.org domain, but we would love to have a capable web developer and designer on board from the very start, so as to go through as few and painless transitions as possible as the project gains traction which in effect demands change.
Considering our software is still in the conceptual phase, unorthodox technologies for database handling would be up for consideration if propositioned well enough. Still, some expert knowledge with PHP and SQL certainly won't be to your disadvantage.
Do you think you have the time and skill needed to be in charge of one or both of the tasks above? Please contact me at
e.soghe@gmail.com. Do again note that this "job" will be completely on a voluntary basis, but we will still expect a high level of commitment.
Opportunities in the future are plentiful, and we'll be happy to discuss them with anyone interested.
