Hello!

I'd like to share with you my first Java web applet game!

In a tribute to Meatloaf, the aim is to guide a pixelly bat out from bleepy 1980s Spectrum style hell.

http://dirtypixelsnastybleeps.blogspot.com/2009/01/bat-out-of-hell.html

Please can you let me know
a. does it work?
b. is it fun?

Thanks!

Yes it works for me, but I would not say it is fun for one reason. It runs slowly and unresponsively which makes it hard to navigate and frustrating. Maybe this is just something I am seeing, I don't know.

Ran perfectly fine for me without any problem.

Wasn't too fun for me, just since I am not really a fan of these kinds of games. It falls under the category of "play it so many times that you memorize every part, slowly progressing a very little each time." Never been a fan of games where I have to repeat the exact same process over and over.

Works. It would have been nice to be able to control the scroll speed, maybe at the expense of points - as it is, I really sucked at controlling the bat.

It worked fine.
It was fun for something about 10 minutes, then I got pissed by doing the same process over and over.

But hey, this is your first game, I don't think I'm able to do something 'great' as that in my first game...

Congratulations.

edit:
I don't know if you're accepting suggestions, but it would be really really great to have a counter (3 seconds is enough) before the game starts. I've died a lot of times because I needed to click and instantly play the game, I like to get myself ready some seconds before.

And the Highscore button doesn't work yet, right?
