It works fine on my RADEON 9800 Pro. My family also has a RADEON 9200 SE, a Nivida Quadro-somthing-or-other, and a RADEON 7000. Do you want me to try it on these computers?

Yes please, and thank you. Man quality assurance is harder than I thought.

OK, will do. It might take me a little while, though. It can be hard to get a chance on the other computers.

OK, I mis-remembered---it's a 7200 not a 7000. The menus all look like The Hunter's screenshots, so I won't bother with screenshots. There is no display corruption in the main part of the game, though. The debug.txt file follows, but I protest vehemently because it is not a 0 MHz computer, it's a 500MHz PIII.

Code:
"Star Cars Debug"
"Operating system","Windows 98"
#2005-02-14#

""
"CPU Speed",0,"Mhz"
"Memory","383.515625"

"Graphics Card = RADEON 7200 SERIES         "
"Hardware Rasterizer (HAL) avalible"
"Hardware Transform and lighting avalible"
"Initalise DirectX and DX3D = True"
"Using Polling Method for Direct Input"

"Keyboard Information"
"Product Name : Keyboard"
"Device Type : 1043"
"GUID : GUID_SysKeyboard"

"Initalise DirectInput = True"
"Initalise DirectSound = True"
"Initalise Animated Textures = True"
"CREATED PARTICLE ENGINE = True"
"Created Player Shadow = True"

Thanks Hunter, seems like the problems are video-card specific, which on one hand is good, because I know where-in the problem lies, on the other hand it's annoying 'cause they should just all work!

Works on my brother's RADEON 9200 SE.

BTW, does anyone know whether or not your supposed to capitalize "RADEON"? I got in the habit of doing it when I saw Dell capitalize it, but now I've been noticing that I'm the only one who does.

Alright, I've tested it on an MX400 and it works perfectly!

My guess then with those others who have had problems is that its a drivers issue, 'cause I have the drivers from my mx440 installed (gotta love nvidias one-drivers for all)

If someone who has an mx400 and starcars was doing that zoom-in thing could they please download the latest nvidia drivers and test it for me again please? I'd be grateful :D

Works fine on a Nivida Quadro NVS.

If you wanted to be really sure it was a driver issue, you could try downloading a previous version of Nivida's drivers and see if it messes things up.

I'm going to do a fresh bare bones XP install and see what happens :)

Well I haven't managed to reproduce the mx400 bug, even with my mx400 and a straight install of xp....

But anyway, I've set a date for going onsale, which is going to be the 21st of februry - even if I don't have complete compatibility all round hopefully I'll be able to track down any problems and fix them after the inital release and definatly by version 2.0. :)

Good timing too 'cause university starts on the 28th.
