Hi, :)

Im a java developper. Im currently developping a game of mine "Yildiz-online".

What is Yildiz Online?


Yildiz Online is a massively multiplayer strategy game(MMORTS). It's a combination of classical startegy game(like: Homeworld)
and management game(like: Ogame).
The game takes place in space and it is entirely in 3 dimensions. Its goal is to devolpoe and assure the management of its base.
and also to create its army with which players can attack other databases to steal their resources.
Yildiz Online is a mobile game which can be played on windows and linux platform.


About Yildiz Online:

The game is pretty well advanced. The engine works great and the different components are fully integrated as well.
Now it is possible to gain resources and to build the base with some buildings.Also it is possible to create units and make them
fight and attack a player to steal resources.


Objectives of Yildiz Online:

Yildiz Online is destined to become a commercial project. The economic model will be free to play with bonus pay.
A future version will witness the appearance of colonization of the planets in order to give an extra dimension to the game
and to enrich more the gameplay.
Currently, the game suggests two languages which are available: French and English.


The project's origins.

Yildiz combines two different styles of games. It offers an innovative experience and offers a community aspect which pushes the interactions between players to widely promote their
development and the different possible research offer a wide range of customizing the way you play.
The project is developed in java for the API and the surface of the engine. The internal components are in C++.



The various libraries and tools:
-Eclipse(java and CDT for the c++(with g++ as compiler, via mingw under windows)
-Maven for dependency management.
-ANT for deployment.

-Orge 3D
-Open AL(implimentation soft openal)
-Bullet
-Netty IO

Control of Quality:
-Sonar
-Junit

Documentation:
-Oxygen


The screenshots or videos That I'll post do not represent the final view of the game but just to let you know that it's in an advanced process and that it works great.

If you want feedback, don't be lazy.

To be honest, at first this looked like a troll post, of some guy who's had an idea and didn't go any further than that. Checking your fb site after googling it (at least provide a direct link) i saw you actually got some stuff goin around.

I like how you referenced Ogame. I loved that game to death, and i'd like 3d sims taking its route in some terms, although the actual gameplay value was pretty nonexistent. Apart from that you barely told us anything about it. Don't let us do the reasearch on it. People are lazy. If you want to advertise your game, do it with a bang :P (at least add screenshots and videos to the post)

Actually you are right about the way I presented my game here. I haven't said much about it nor gave any direct link (You have noticed that I mentioned the fb page only as: yildizonlinegame and not www......).

The reason is that I have posted my WIP in many forums and most of them, they don't like the idea of advertising( eventhough my game is still under developement) or sometimes they want you to discuss specific issues about some specific games. Sometimes I get banned or warned even if I read the forum's rules and I respect them so I would surely get confused whether to present my game with details or just to give a hint about it.

Anyway, I appreciate your notification and I'll edit my post ASAP, adding more details, screenshots, videos...

Fantastic! I think you should increase the camera's field-of-view angle. Something about the perspective and spatial coherence seems too cropped or something... That's all of which I don't like so far. Are there any parts you feel are lacking but you don't know how to expand or improve? Maybe we can help you think of ideas whenever you need creative support. Good luck. :)

EDIT:

- Add specular highlight to the tessellated-hexagon dome bases.
- To the extent that I have observed, the spatial form of your gameplay is useless and even qualitatively subtractive. My point is: You might as well just make a text-based game with static backgrounds.

-good catch for the FOV, i add it on todo list.
-specular is a good idea, i was thinking about some glow too, need some test to fine something nice.


Currently the game has only one ship available, with some more the realtime strategy part will be more interesting, i also plan to add capture point.

-The game has been made ready to accept 100 accounts(it is far too many for a first test week but it is currently the maximum number of bases allowed in a solar system).

-Public alpha will start today at 7pm GMT.

PS: linux binaries will be available when windows release is considered stable. This way you will have a more stable version and you won't face difficulties as the current windows users.
