Hi, this is my first 3D game for Android. It isn't an original game, but I'm
practicing.

Development details:

  • Custom game engine
  • Progamming language: C++
  • Graphics API: OpenGL
  • Input & Window management: SDL
  • Audio: OpenAL, vorbisfile
  • Physics: Bullet
  • Some tools used: Audacity, Gimp, Inkscape

Is this game Android only?

If it is, what made you decide C++/SDL/OpenGL and the pain of the NDK, instead of Java/OpenGL?

I'm not 100% happy.
- The art doesn't look very good to me. I consider myself a programmer and not an artist. Although I enjoy learning art I hope to focus on programming in the future.
- Sometimes the ball crosses the net. I would have to increase frequency simulation in Bullet, but I fear performance issues on older devices.

I have only officially released it on Android, but it runs on Linux, on the browser (via emscripten), I could compile it for Windows, Mac and iOS in the future.

I plan to make a web site with a HTML5 version of the game. I already have an alpha version: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/112 ... index.html

That's cool that you have an emscripten version. I've had a huge amount of trouble getting Chaotic Rage to compile on emscripten, but it's also a little bigger ;)
