Hello all,

I'm trying to decide on which game development engine to use. Below is the information for my game/vision:

Game Type: Turn-based strategy/God game
Number of players: 1-??? (i.e., compete against PC opponent or online opponents).
Dimensions: I'm likely going to go with 2D - or what I call 2.5D (fixed perspective - always viewing from above at a fixed angle). 3D seems like overkill to me right now.
Length of gameplay: From 1/2 hour to many, many days.
Web Integration: I would like to make it available through a web interface if possible
Languages: I'm modestly okay at Python and C#
Platform: windows

I'm language agnostic, and I'd like to choose a very easy to use game engine. Any advice much appreciated.

c#, easy to use, webapplet, this has only one answer for me: Unity3d

It's straight forward, has a load of features, quite a good documentation but is a bit on the weak side for 2D last time i checked (which is a while ago :P)
