We've only just moved onto IE8 at work. This morning I noticed that Lil Endian is making a bid for freedom:

Does anyone else with IE8 see the same thing? I use Firefox at home and everything looks fine there.

Bring firefox or chrome on a thumb-drive. IE doesn't like to render the web properly :).

I used to use OperaUSB on the old network as we were stuck with IE6 :x

However, our shiny new network has shiny new security tools and I'll have black helicopters circling if I run unauthorised software like USB browsers on it. :( In fact we can't officially use USB storage devices since Conficker did the rounds.

Can you take a laptop into work? As long as it allows you just an internet connection, it shouldn't be a security threat.

Nope. Moblies, 3G and WiFi get stamped on. (See TEMPEST for details.) Plus all the network taps will lock out if a new MAC address is detected.

The joys of secure networking. The net feed we get is seriously filtered too.

Anyway, that's all OT, I was just wondering if anyone else sees Lil Endian wandering away or if it's just my 'secured' browser.

It's always looked right to me, but I don't use IE.

Yup, it is same for me in IE8, but I use Chrome usually. Are you allowed to install Chrome? (it can usually install without admin privileges).
