After I posted it I did see that the comic image was already linked into the windows 7 thread there. I was just linking to the image before anyone else did and called godwin.

Woah, wait - people already hate Windows 7? Vista I could understand, it was new and intimidating. It is only natural for non-computer nerds to be scared of change, and those Linux geeks to be scared of real competition to their perfect, flawless baby that they would blindly follow off a cliff. But Windows 7 hardly offers anything but a little bit of improvement over Vista with some more useless tools and claims of performance improvement. Oh, and a new GUI - always have to have a new GUI!

@Machaira - I think it'll be fine. I mean, we've had multiple pages of why smoking weed and eating seaweed is the ultimate cure for life, and we're still alive. If we can survive that, we can survive anything! ;)

Perhaps Windows 7 automatically flips pictures as an accessibility feature for those poor people who are born with their eyeballs in the wrong sockets?

I have heard nothing but praise for Windows 7 is "amazing" and "great" and it does all this neat stuff. Of course it is all the same stuff as Vista. I guess the "Mojave Experiment" was even more accurate than I thought. Some sort of mass perception/deception.

I've heard Windows 7 is actually nice. I have friends that have tested out the beta. Lot less security annoyances. Randall is just poking fun as seen from the alt-text. :rofl

It's making fun of Vista, not Windows 7. Read the last pane :)

I thought it was making fun of both.

The comic gave me this impression: ms needs to sell us new operating systems, but xp was too functional, so rather than giving us something more functional than xp, they gave us something less functional: vista. And win7 is extending this ideology, by giving us something less functional than vista, a blinking hitler face.

I thought he was just slagging vista off. the hover over text says he's head good things doesn't it?

From what I've read windows 7 just seems like a vista without most of the initial problems
