Recent EU policy states that all websites must declare the purpose and usage of any cookies placed on visitor's computers.

GPWiki's Policy is at http://content.gpwiki.org/index.php/GPW ... kie_Policy

In short, the only cookies placed by GPWiki are those used by phpBB and MediaWiki to persist your logins. The AdSense banner ads may also use cookies to track you.

That because of the HTML 5 bug which made it possible to store any number of data on a client computer using cookies? Or is this an older law which I never heard of?
