At morning I convinced myself to give it up and try to keep moving on with my project...
but I keep running into more bogusness.. OpenGL eh? That's what I was just considering.
I might go for OpenGL extensions between 3 and 4 because, from what I know, those are much more supported than OpenGL 4. I'm not sure how significant OpenGL 4's improvements are.
I had this same story happen before, but in a less dramatic and satisfying way. Back in 2010, when I was a lad in highschool, I moved from D3D9 to OpenGL 1.2 (more of a step down) since I didn't understand the extensional, non-centralized SDK nature of OpenGL.
