No Doom4, or anything else this year apparently.

According to RockPaperShotguns interview with Tim Willits id isn't currently working towards a specific goal. It seems right now they're more focused on tech-support for Bethesda and other licensees of the engine. However, as every year, John Carmack was giving his keynote in his usual fashion and gave a talk about lighting/shading processing in games today, more on the topic of baked global illumination.

The Lighting and Rendering lecture is brilliant. I already knew most of the content, but it was great to hear it all laid down in an interesting and easy to digest manner.
