I should point out that this isn't another John McAffee type case. Andrew Scott Reisse was simply crossing the road when he was hit by a car running from Police.

RIP Andrew, it is a tragedy that a brilliant life should be cut short.

Ugh. Another sad reminder at just how vulnerable we all are as human beings. :(

So wrong. This is the worst kind of tragedy.

This is why DUI should carry the death penalty.

Pie man is not happy. >:(

P.s. this is why I don't trust f***ing cars while I'm crossing the road. Never. Be careful on cross walks. Nothing beats a high level of attentiveness; just as if there wasn't a stupid row of white lines painted on the street, which means nothing to your safety. You're going to die today. Hide your kids, hide your wife.

I've come to the conclusion that, at least where I live, 95% of licensed drivers should have NEVER been given a driver's license in the first place.

Yeah but guys, he was ran over in a police chase right?

abclocal.go.com wrote:
Investigators allege 21-year-old Victor Sanchez and two other suspects then took off in a Dodge Charger. With Sanchez at the wheel, the Charger slammed into two vehicles during the pursuit before hitting Reisse, police said.

He could not expect that and this wasn't a driving license problem. If anything I would say it could have been his fault for not being aware of the situation on the road, but it is possible that he could not see those cars before stepping on the crosswalk so most likely it was simply a tragic incident :/

I'm just saying that people drive like maniacs, and it's amazing that this kind of thing doesn't happen more often. It's almost like some people are trying to cause an accident.

Yeah, I see where are you going with this. I'm my self actually shocked that I got my drivers license so quickly. It's like few months in driving school and you are ready to go out... Everyone gets a driving license these days :D
