Watched the vid, very cool. Having the ship as the light source makes for some interesting effects.
This would work as a phone or tablet game, one finger control and simple gameplay.

Yep, and thats the only way to approximate distance towards geometry :D

I thought about it, but a a 5-month old limited me to only a couple of hours on Chaotic Rage!

I did get animation using my new model loader (Assimp) working though (shameless plug of my dev blog), does that count?
