The Ouya console is shipping, on time and as promised.

The SDK is available too, could be interesting to see what comes out of this in the next few months.

Intresting console.
With its low price and the fact that it's android it's a pretty accessible medium.
Two things bother me about it though:
1. Will it really be on par performance-wise with the mainstream consoles?
2. Marketing, people who aren't as tech-savvy as most of us probably won't even know about it or might not be willing to invest the money in a platform that doesn't have big game titles on launch.

But it's intresting, might look into it further down the line.

Apparently there are pretty big controller latency issues. That sort of thing is really fundamental, they can't leave it unsolved. It might be a problem with the actual controller hardware rather than the OUYA itself. Then again, this was a Unity related issue I was hearing about, so it might just be that the library isn't optimised yet.

Apparently they fixed it. Guess that's the power of involving the community in development.
