Techniques have improved over web designing [removed spammy link ~Mugai], the web development and programming methods as well have changed a lot. The HTML language now since the current update is HTML version 5.0 which means you could have more functionality that might give you easier and better way to improve website designing.

Tables have been used earlier in the early stages of website development at the early 1990s where table have become common for presenting data’s in rows and columns, and arranging some information’s in the website.

As of today, tables are near to being obsolete in the website designing methods, since the CSS have made it possible to input data on website the same as using rows and columns, without using the HTML tables as before.

So are you still using tables as of now?

Yes, I am using tables for formating data inside the page, cause it seems easier to write and read. for example contact imformation would be a borderless table, I also do this for login screen, where arrange texts like "Password:" and "Username:" and next to them their textfield. I prefer this as its easy to change directly in HTML while doing PHP or similar stuff around formulars. Simply if lists are not good enough for what i need, and CSS is too advanced for what i need, i use tables for their simple use.

Tables have their place. But they are not intended for design layout.

Spam links, on the other hand, have no place anywhere.
