I was reading somewhere a few weeks back about an experiment to prove that the universe wasn't a simulation.
Sounds stupid. What would it be simulating otherwise? Another universe?

Just for the heck of it, I'll say our universe is simulation. Yep. Now what? Doesn't that mean it must be simulating something else? And because it is, because I said so... so what anyway?

I dislike people who even take the time to think about matters such as that with as little knowledge as they have e.g. "The Singularity." The dumbwit who conceived of that folklore on quite a very arbitrary basis doesn't seem to understand general artificial intelligence to any extent great enough to make claims or judgments regarding it, if not enough to rationally believe his s***. "The Singularity" definitely can not be considered a prediction, inevitable concequence or anything serious. It's obviously just... I mean read the name: "The Singularity"
That's pretty great, eh. Definitely not a concept merely designed to replace the "Futurist: Flying Cars in 20 years!" theme.
