It does sound depressingly familiar. When I started to get to grips with 3D, my big project idea was a shooter, like Quake3, but better.

It is PNG.

Hmm, ok, I tried the save the image to my local system to magnify it, but ImageShack apparently does some processing on images it gets :(
In the mean time, I managed to read it though.

I fail to see its humor, but that's probably me working too long in the software industry ;)

I experienced that a while ago in a forum. Somebody was recruting for some random FPS game inspired by whatever games he has played. "Need leveldesigners, sound engineers, texture artists, etc etc etc. No money, all volunteer work, don't plan to make a commercial game". I replied with a link to a list of common mistakes made by beginners. His reply was similar to this: "People like you'll never make games, do you know why? Because you give up!".

Was inspired by the other comic and made one myself. Another source of inspiration was the hundreads of abandoned projects that were never even started and some random noob cursing cryengine because he couldn't find and easy to follow tutorial on how to make a custom weapon.
