It seems new BB handsets and tablets will have Android powers.

I wonder if this will help or hinder things? It widens the market for developers, but bring more compatibiity issues.

This. Android already has enough problems in this area. I can't imagine it's not going to be an issue with BB now.

Thankfully, I got rid of my BB device. WP7 = win, especially with the Mango release.
