Hello, if you've wandered to the C++ game dev sections, you know I've been working on a game for a school assignment for the past couple of weeks. I got an offer from a community member for help with the game's graphics. Unfortunately, this is a bad time for him.

Basically I'm looking for a partner for this project. Someone who could help out with graphics(ie: sprites, tilesets, animation graphics,etc..). The bulk of the programming is done, the battle and level system are in place although they still need adjustments.
The deadline is the 10th of januari, and there still is quite a bit of work to be done on graphics.
Note that this is purely an amateur project, it's for a school assignement and although you will be credited with helping for the project, this will get you no money.

If you're intrested, check out the thread in the c++ game dev section and send me a PM.

I didn't really know where to put this, if there are any sites which are communities for amateur graphical designers I'd like to post there as well.

It might be worth poking around on Newgrounds and possibly deviantArt? I've never tried to find artists before so can't give any definitive advice. I know I've spotted people on Newgrounds offering sound creation for nothing more than credit. In terms of quality though, you're probably not going to get anything mindblasting.

Yes. It's holiday break and I should spend more time with my family. :O

If anyone would like to start from where I left off, I can hand over the Gimp project files (or export them for Photoshop) :D

IGTHORN has a great suggestion. I found a good and willing concept artist for my project from deviantart.com. Here is an awesome artist who I think might be good for your game to jump start your search (note, not the same concept artist guy I had... this one does a lot of pixel art and 2D game-style stuff):

You should also checkout teh ASESPRITE group:
