Sharing something i really liked:

Vehicles: http://www.advancedtautactica.com/viewt ... =6&t=12007
Soldiers: http://www.advancedtautactica.com/viewt ... f=6&t=8192

Maybe it could be a source of inspiration for creating sprite and 3D model characters.

Good stuff. I like the vehicles. They're for a tabletop wargame I assume?

I did some miniature painting for Blood Bowl and Battletech a few years ago. It took me at least a week for each figure. I was quite pleased until I met a guy who could do a whole Warhammer squad in two nights and they looked so much better than mine. >:(

When you first delve into the world of miniatures painting, it can be *very* time-consuming (taking a week to fully finish a single figure is certainly not unheard of). Of course, the more you become accustom to painting them, the faster you can accomplish the same level of quality -- and the better the quality of your work can reach.

Gotta love it when some 'idiot' comes along though and outdoes you by such a stretch -- a real knockout-punch to one's ego.

holy crap, Polycount is still up? I thought that site folded. Wasn't it polycount.org before?

AFAIK, it's always been polycount.com.

Don't take my memory of anything to be authoritative -- my brain has a bad habit of "rewriting" things that I've experienced in the past. :confused
