This is one of my favorite mainly because, it's the language that's closest to Visual Basic 6. It's fast which is a good point.

I was always having dreams of making my own computer games with that language because of the speed itself but the problems I proably run into is, that theres not much tools available for it mainly because.. no one has probably have heard of it. :/

The reaon why I mentioned XBLite is because I now run a 64Bit windows platform that people keep telling me that Visual Basic 6 is not compatible with it anymore.

I could be proven wrong.

VB should still work on your 64bit system(presuming you have AMD x86-64 NOT IA-64 Itanium :x), in 32bit compatibility mode(ahh, the beauty of backward compatible processors :)).

I haven't used xblite but have a look at xbasic, beacuse according to the xblite website it is based off xbasic, which is crossplatform :yeah
