Hi, I've been trying to get started on pygame. I definitly wouldn't say that it's bad, but I'm curious. Would anyone recommend a library besides pygame.

It real depends on what language you want to use. SFML has bindings for quite a few languages including python. Personally when I'm looking to prototype games I use gosu and ruby these days. I'm sure there will be a chime in for xna as well.

Pyglet is a great python library alternative to PyGame.
