I tried to learn it but its confusing. I look at code from another language and I can understand whats going on. I look at Lisp code and everything is inside out!

We have a project at work, in Lisp, and I was told to maintain it. I recommended that we scrap the project and start over :ego

So, because you failed to understand it, it became a bad language? :P[/flame bait]

No no no, you misunderstand. I failed to understand it because it's a bad language. :spin

I'd personally say it's a pretty damn good language :) But at the same time, I wouldn't replace other languages with it (kind of the same as using newtons laws in physics over relativity. Relativity is superior, but it is harder to understand and perform calculations in, so most of the time it is much easier and quicker to do things with relativity).

Don't you mean with Newton's laws it's easier to do physics?

Haskell is similar to Lisp, right? I think it is... XD

I didn`t code in Haskell, but as far as i know Haskell doesn`t have macros as LISP does. (And LISP macros is very powerful tool).
So at least from the macro point of view - Haskell is not LISP really :-)
But of course we can say that ALL functional languages is a bit similar to each other :-)

Have a nice day !
