Haha, I just thought: depending how long this project takes, I may be able to contribute to programming next year after doing some university Computer Science :lol

If its first year of uni, then I expect that the programming will be fairly low level, as they need to ensure everyone is up to the same standard before doing too much.

To be honest, I've not done much advanced programming in my course (in third year now) but they have taught me enough that I am capable of doing much more advanced stuff than they have taught. My fourth year should change that though, as it is the masters modules (to get an MEng rather than a BSc) and they have a very hefty work load (for example, the computer animation module has 3 labs. Key Frame Interpolation, implementing inverse kinematics, and facial animation, all in a 3 or 4 week period)

Man, I wish college had offered that kind of stuff when I graduated high school. Maybe I would have gone instead of joining the Army. :)

Count me in on Perception Crash. I just cleared out my summer, got a bit of scholarship money, and I'm going to be nice and lazy and give a good chunk of time to PC :) I'm going to do a bit more reading before I code anything because I didn't think I'd join up, but I'm definatly in!

My summer contributons will be erratic, due to my repeatedly being forced onto a motorhome that smells like cat pee for weeks at a time. However, I will contribute story and gameplay ideas wherever possible. :)

I'd definitely like to help out, though I'm not sure exactly how relevant my programming skills will be, I'd love the experience. I can help out pleanty with non programming things too. I have decent photoshop skills, so I'm sure I could make textures if I put my mind to it...

What we really need at this point I think is a concept artist so our modeller can get working.

He can get working on a gun or two that we agreed upon.. or atleast no objections about. The SPAS15 for example.

Agreed. And there should be enough source material available for equipment (grenades, light-weight body armor, etc. - maybe even the melee weapons).

My parents are dragging me off to the beach this weekend, so I won't have any access to internet/programming.
