Oh yeah, thats right. That would be useful. I briefly skimmed through smf wiki integration threads, and, oh god. I see what you mean :x

Thats awesome codehead! :rock

Btw:
1. can you link me all the remaining forum icons so i can think about some ideas for their redesign?
2. any mentions/opinions on the previously posted color theme?

Night off tonight. Keeping Mrs Codehead sweet after a week of sitting at the computer all night.

@Weezl: It's probably easier to download the SubSilver2 skin (https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... ver2/demo/) than to go digging around for icons on the server.

The colour scheme you linked is very Christmassy, not sure how I feel about it. :spin I'd like to see how that flat skin you linked looks on the board, which may mean that we'll be changing the icons again, so I'd also hold fire there to avoid wasting your time.

Sorry to be holding up the process, I'm going as fast as I can. ;)

No worries, take your time :D I'm impressed that were progressing as fast as we are! 8)

I'll only take a look at the icons for now to see how big the workload is and to get some inspiration.

I was talking to a few people about the colors and what i got as answers was to look at other boards, specifically for gamedev, and to implement a highlightcolor.
The boards i looked at where all blue themed, i'm not sure why, but i went with it.
For the highlight color i chose red, because thats the color of our lord and master.
The colors specifically were chosen from kuler, and slightly adjusted.

What i found, when i was working on it, was that it had a really friendly and comfortable feel when scrolling through the post.

OK, I think I've finished building on the new server. I'll need to lock the Wiki and take a DB backup tomorrow, then at some point before New Year, I'll do the same for the forum and transfer the DNS.

I'll look at getting a test area up once we're transferred, then we can play with color schemes and such properly.

:yeah Hopefully, we can keep up the momentum.

However, I'm taking a few days off for Xmas. The DNS should have settled down after the break and I can wire up the Wiki SSO and get the dev area up and running.

I'll be off over Christmas too; two weeks without internet!

wiki looks good by the way!

On the home page, you could add a meta viewport tag with width=device-width, then the responsive stuff will work on a phone. also, the pic of the day shouldn't have width and height in the html because it's set in the css for the responsive design

Ah, OK, will sort that when I'm back. I added the image sizes because I'm cheating and using the full size image and scaling it on the page. ;)
The front page seems to scale OK on my tablet though.

Hey its up! cool stuff!

There are some inconsistencies with the nav-bar though:
The logo doesn't change any other place than the home page.
The interval and duration of the changing logo is probably too short.
The home navbar is a few pixel slimmer than for wiki and forums.
The forum's navbar is offset by what appears to be 1 pixel to the right :P

Just wanted to point that out. :thumbs

yeah I know your cheating with the size, but the cheating will still work with css widths

oh yeah something else i just noticed: in the latest forum posts box, either you see the post count, or the name of the user who posted last. looks weird

maybe the name could be added next to the date, e.g. 3 hours ago by TheJosh

The scripts for the logo cycling are messed up. Easy fix though, first on the list.

Not sure what's going on with the CSS, all pages pull the same stylesheet through the magic of SymLinks, but the header does seem to vary slightly between sections. The Wiki is the worst, due to crazy mediawiki styling.

OK, TBH. I threw the page together very quickly, so didn't deviate too much from the old template. Will look at sorting that.

Yep, I noticed that it isn't behaving the way it should. The poster should appear if there's no replies. but threads with one reply get attributed to the reply author. I'll tweak the PHP to fix that.

Logo cycling fixed and the time delay extended to 30sec. Had some issues with the forum and content subdomains due to cross site access control, but all sorted now.
Off for more turkey leftovers before I tackle the next problem.

Fixed up the post info on the front page. That'll do for today.

Just changed some cookie settings while prepping for the single sign on configuration.

If you're having logon problems, delete any cookies with gpwiki in the name.

Also, the Wiki header seems to have broken. Not sure why as I haven't changed anything, must have been a cached file or something. :eek

OK, SSO now works. If you're signed into the forum, you will automatically log into the Wiki.

Still got some styling issues and the wiki seems slow, but we have people coming over for New Year, so it'll have to wait.
