 Post subject: Game making

I have been working on many games but haven't seemed to get the hang of it if there is anyone tat can maybe help me with programing. i have been trying many different ways of making a rts game but i haven't been able to succeed so far so any tips or even just lic=nking to help sites would be much appreciated :)

Can you explain what the problem is, exactly?
"I don't understand rts games" is a bit broad :)

I currently believe they are quite simple, every unit gets a turn to make a small move (eg turn a few pixels, or harvest something, or move a bit). After that, update the screen with the new situation. Do that 30-50 times a second, and you've got a game.
The user is not part of the cycle, you just wait until he enters a command, pass it on to the right unit, and it executes that command in many turns.

No doubt I am missing a few crucial points here :)

i haven't actually mad haven't make a complete desicion on waht is it going to be but i just need to know the codes and stuff. and thanx alot this really helps :thumbs

sorry i messed up forgot to put my username that time. but this are tutorials for makes in pc game right. and also i forgot to say tha i didnt have kind of an idea but i wanted a just simple everyone goes at the same time type a game and also i had the idea for a rts set in the midevil era
