 Post subject: Neworking solution?

Hi guys,

I'm running Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition and I'm looking for a good networking solution for a Client/Server based game. I was originally going to just use simple old Winsock, but i cant find any of the documentation(or source dlls/ocx's etc) i used to use. (Winsock4VB or whatever it was called is gone).

I also can't find any good documentation on DirectPlay. The engine im using recently added network support, but again no documentation.

Does anyone know how to get winsock going under the IDE i'm using, and know of some good tutorials? I remember Winsock being DIRT simple.. that's the appeal at the moment.

Thanks in adavance!

DirectPlay is dead. You might look into Lidgren.

Are you using a file format that used to compile programs and other things into a simple web delivery platform?
