Well, what do you expect? When something works, why shouldn't I recommend it? :)

...ok so.. i create a game in vb, upload it to Xbox live?

lol...

Thats really neat and all... 'cept ive already started programming my game in VB5/DX8.

This XNA thing says it requires Visual Studio 2008 Express... i saw that i can download VB Express 2008 for free at microsoft.com. Would that work?

Would my game be easily transferrable from VB5 to VB Express 2008?

Not really. On the other hand, you're using some pretty old dev stuff there, maybe it's time to upgrade?

The new visual studio is available for free, as far as I know it's a no strings attached kind of arrangement - you can sell any stuff you make with it and it's not been crippled.

Just tried porting it... it ALMOST compiles.. but not quite.

Getting all kinds of very wierd errors that are completely greek to me, so im just gonna make the game in VB5 and keep it simple. I might look into learning VB Express 2008 (easily a completely different language) for my next project.
