Hi
As you know, the dxgame-site is offline atm, and it's not likely that it will come back. But I need the engine and cant find any download. Does anyone still have the engine? It'd be nice if you sent it to me!

Best regards
theNick

Here's version 2.28 with the 2.18 help. I think some people around here have a newer version, though.

I have version 2.34 along with some misc utilities the dxgame guy made before shutting down his site: http://www.sendspace.com/file/hv7jqa

Its a shame that he took everything down, its a very easy to use engine and has lots of good features.

I'm pretty sure there were no newer Help files. Not sure about source samples.

Are you sure that there is no newer documentation than 2.18?
There are so many objects in this example that arent described in the helpfile (e.g. dx.Texture):

I stayed pretty current on the help files ... when Dave released something new, I downloaded it.

I know that I didn't pull down the last few DLL updates (the ones that added the new GUI items ... and then the latest ones that re-did the font engine) because I had locked down on the DLL version that I made "Gem Raider" with.

But, I don't remember him putting out any new helpfiles, because things were changing too quickly to keep up with them. OziDev and I had just started coordinating to put together some wiki-based help content when all the bad stuff hit ... and so that fell apart too.

There had been a lot of help-like things posted to the old forum as well. Dave would add a new feature, or make adjustments to an existing feature, and then put the function parameters and/or value descriptions in the announcement post.

So ... the short answer is: *I* haven't found any newer help file ... but if someone else has one, I'd like to see it too. :)

A shame the site is offline :(
There could at least be a backup off all useful forumthreads...

I really need documentation/help with the Texture/SpritePFX-Objects...

Btw, I've found some dxg-demos, maybe someone has a use for it:

DXGame.com will be back online soon. There is a new owner, and the owner has said he will be releasing updated DXG VB related tools. There's also apprarently a migrate path to VB.Net planned. Stay tuned...

I would expect the new owner to make an announcement soon...

Dxg works fine under Vista when you include the "dx8vb.dll" in your distribution. Make sure the Vista box has admin rights turned on otherwise there could be a problem. Works for Spodi's rpg engine and Dabooda as well. ;)

Still can't find it anywhere, all links(even ones in this thread) are broken.

Thanks
