Yes, I have backups, but only a monthly data grab and it lives on the server till I get around to snagging it to my home machine.

Now, I'm looking at pushing a daily backup of everything to Google Drive.

The server is a VPS, so the disk is a virtual one. The problem was down to disk/data corruption, no idea what caused it but I couldn't boot the box until I'd run fsck and cleared a bunch of broken clusters and references.
